New Solar Panels are GO!
Also, here's a nibble on the "Exosuit Player Rig"; I assume this is the 'skeleton' on which the model(s) or texture(s) sit?:
Colin Knueppel: "This ballooned and evolved. I rebuilt an older version of the rig due to some odd and broken rigging that crept in over time. I rebuilt some structures present in newer version of the rig onto this older version, and then started working on redoing the arms so that both sides could have either attachment.
However, mid-task I found out that arms were going to be treated like player items system wise, which meant they needed to export separately and in relation to an attach point. To save on resources we also wanted the ability to mirror arms, so rather than a left and right arm, we'd just have an arm.
I have since detached and rerigged the arms to be more universal. The right arm has a mirroring function that makes it so that it can be animated normally, but will export as a mirrored reflection, so that when it plays on an inversely scaled arm it will play correctly. This way we can animate arms normally for walks but also inherit animation from the left arm for use animation.
All done. Working on implementation. If issues arise I'll create a new card."

I'm not sure; I just pulled this off the Trello just now. They look huge and amazing, though! I can't wait to rock an array of these new Bling Panels on my base when I do a new game.
The size should be pretty comparable to the old ones. They aren't an improved version, they are simply the final art that is replacing the current ones, which were basic untextured stand in models.
Well they still look awesome, and I can't wait to see how they look in-game.

The update will also contain the battery and powercell chargers,a new systen where batteries have limited power and can be switched out, several creatures, like the Sea Treader and of course, the Solar Panel Remodel.
Btw do you know if the damaged tech will be added as well? (If it isn't already, I'm playing on stable so I don't know about experimental)
Here's an interesting card from the Trello...
Update Website - May Update
It seems to be a copy of the previous "Lifepod Update" Card but it's been modified to reflect the update that's coming (battery chargers, gas torpedoes, etc.)
Prepare update website for Tuesday deadline is the most interesting point, and that would be Tuesday the 31st of May or Wednesday 1st June for those who live in AUS like me.
Darn, it would be cool to make some power source upgrades that work with all sources to make them more efficient, faster, etc. Faster power collection would produce faster than normal but things that use said power might draw on it more, while an efficiency upgrade could increase the maximum power for a power source by a slight percentage. At least that's my idea, not sure if it'd be practical to put in
