Planting in Large Aquariums

I've just built my first large aquarium and immediately filled the planter with four creepvines. In hindsight this is a bit wasteful though, so I'd like to remove a couple so I can plant other flora in there, but I can't seem to work out how. When I select the vine in the planter inventory the only option I'm given is to press A to move it to my inventory, but when I press A nothing happens.

Does anyone know how I can remove them, or is it a case of dismantling the aquarium and starting over?

I tried that but it just added a load of samples to my inventory. Will give it another go tonight though.

yeah forgot to mention that, must have a fair bit of space in the inventory as the creepvines fills it quick, was about 6 x 4 spaces from memory.

you can keep cutting it after your inventory is full, it will eventually disappear, you just won't get the items.
