Only playing the preview for a few hours so far, but loving it already. The only thing that makes me a little sad is not being able to share my adventures with friends. As good as it is already, it would be amazing if had a coop mode, maybe utilising the Cloud to allow shared games to be accessed by groups of players.
After all, it's great playing single player, but sharing the experience and working together with friends would increase the enjoyment many fold and would give the feeling of a small community of survivors working together. Maybe even making it a persistent world somehow so if one player jumps in and furthers the game a little, those changes would be present for anyone else who jumps into the same game later.

I would so much love to have co-op. I would have my wife and kid onboard the Cyclops. Im the Captain, my wife jumps in the seamoth to go out and find "Coral Juice" while my kid runs around like a headless chicken yelling " DAD! DAD THERE SURE IS A LOT OF BREACHES ON THIS SHIP!"
