Bugs vs missing content?

I am loving the game, but I'm really looking forward to the first DLC to catch us up with the PC version. I don't know what is a bug atm vs content that hasn't been implemented. Some items don't render all time like the blood kelp. Some items are not working like the laser cutter will not open crates. Frame rate is horrible at times, and I am getting allot of crashes. But over all can't wait for more. Any idea when the first update for XB! is?
