Damaged Tech

So this card is on Trello, indicating that the art devs are hard at work creating the damaged tech we will one day have to scan to learn new blueprints. A few things that leap out at me;

1. The terraformer is in there, indicating rumors of its demise might be exaggerated.
2. The scanner is not on the list, but batteries are. This implies that batteries could become a tech you need to learn, and you might therefore start the game with a scanner, since batteries are required to make it yourself.

Of course this is wild speculation, so please take this with a grain of salt.

    I'm waiting to see if deformable terrain will be removed entirely... it'd require reworking base modules so that they can attach to curved surfaces without 'eating' holes in them. This would at the very least require longer legs (and perhaps side mounted or top-mounted legs!

    It's entirely possible that some of these models (including the terraformer model) was made before the decision was made, or it's entirely possible that they wish to use the Terraformer model for something else in the future.

    About the damaged battery: maybe its an advanced battery. We might still be able to fabricate a primitive battery and need a blueprint for a better (maybe rechargable) model.

    I really hope the terraformer stays ingame. That`s one thing i miss in sooooooooooooooooooooo many games; being able to change the evironment. Another environment games I really like were the Molineux games, Populus, Black & White, loved it.

    So does this mean that we will have to scan damaged welders, builders, flashlights, and beacons so we can build welders, builders, flashlights, and beacons?

    That would make sense. Building consumable batteries early game and then scanning rechargeable ones mid-late game (alongside Powercells maybe?) Then rechargeable powercells being late game

    seems cool

    early game progression/gating already seems pretty good though. But maybe this altercation will make it even better.

    Pacing btwn early and late/midgame might become uneven though, since i feel like I can't do much in 3/4 of the rest of the map, and theres already plenty much to do in early game
