Thoughts on Subnautica

I'm really enjoying the heck out of this game. I put it on my wish list some time ago and decided I couldn't wait early access out any longer. I've been careful to avoid potential spoilers and I don't think I'm very far in the game yet, I just crafted the Seamoth but so far so good. I've managed to create a base that provides enough food and water for survival and so I'm set up to further explore. That being said, I'm wondering if there are any kind of events to make survival more difficult. I've seen requests for weather and I think this would be great, even just cloud coverage... I crafterd a bunch of solar panels and it's always sunny so other power sources don't seem necessary until I decide to build a base deeper under water. Creature attacks/events would be fun too, maybe ones that are attracted to heat or ligh but I think I saw that in the roadmap. Migrations would be cool too. Natural disasters like a tsunami. I seem to not be effected by water pressure. Maybe an upgrade for the Seamoth to equalize pressure in a certain radius around it or something for deep bases to do the same. I feel cheaty swimming around so deep. Also, I guess I have a couple questions.. Is there a way to turn off the life pods beacon? Or the Seamoth's? If not I'd like it to be something I could turn on and off, maybe through the pda, so the constant flashing isn't photo bombing my screenshots. And how the heck do I equip my air tanks? They take up so much of my inventory and it's probably something really simple but I just can't figure it out.

Currently, you just have to give up inventory space for air tanks. Currently in experimental, and after the next stable update, there will be a slot on the paper doll for an air tank, and you'll still be able to carry extras in your inventory. I believe the devs said that when your equipped tank is empty, the game will automatically switch to one of any other tanks you're carrying.

As I heard there are some changes on the way for the O-Tanks, so far having them in the inv is what it is.
About the depth you are swimming in they decided not to get you crushed by it, instead it takes more of your Oxygen swimming down there (3 times as much I think it is without some craftable equip).
As for harder, play hardcore and: I guess you didn`t see some of the stalking seamoth crushers yet. Cause I don`t wanna spoil I can`t tell ya where or whom I mean, but there are some "unfriendly" fish out there that might force you to abandon your Seamoth and swim back the long way home. If they don`t get you after the Seamoth that is. xD

Oh, awesome! Glad to hear that the tanks will be equipable and increased O2 consumption seems like a good penalty for swimming at depths. I had thought maybe a health tick or something but O2 use would correct once you've surfaced so it works rather well.
