Problems dropping after upgrading
I've been testing my commander skills lately (when the opportunity permits) but I've had one major problem. I get my base setup and start protecting other resource points. The RP's are increasing well and it's getting later in the game. I get the opportunity to upgrade my turret factories with the intention of placing siege cannons. The problem is, when the upgrade is complete ( don't remember if there's a verbal message ) I can select the siege cannon from my menu but it's highlighted in red when I go to place it. Now, I know I have enough resources and I've waited for extended periods of time to be sure the upgrade is complete. No matter what I do, I cannot drop a siege cannon.
Now, I'm sure you're all laughing uncontrollably to yourselves, but this has been the downfall of my team for a number of games. What am I missing?

I'm not sure what an ATurfac is... but I'm sure I've tried to place near the factory that I upgraded. I know this because in some cases, it was the only factory
Any other ideas?
Maybe the terrain wasnt flat ?
Basically, after your tfactory finishes upgrading, for some reaosn, marines have to BUILD IT. This caught everyone off-guard and I never would have thought of it except I got a "structure has not been completed" message on my commander screen. I told everyone to build it, and it finally started working and I could place seiges.
I tried to seige crawl, and it happened again when I got my second tfactory up and ready to upgrade.
To sucessfully build a seige now, you have to:
-Build a turret factory
-Upgrade the turret factory (Select the tfactory and click Advanced Tfactory button)
-Order your marines to build the Advanced tfactory (They will probably try to weld it and do every other thing until they figure out what you mean.)
-Once they've pressed the use key on the Adv Tfactory, it will finish construction and start working, and now you can build Seige cannons.
At first I thought this was a nerfing feature, but I checked the official NS site, and therte's no mention of this, so I can only assume it is a bug that was introduced when they were fixing aome toher seige-related problems.
I know that 198.77.205.24:27015 Nano-Gridlock 1.02 - [Evolutionarily Challenged] is often passworded and used for playtesting purposes even up till now.
This bug does not occur in every instance, and when it does the marines usually get used to it. The only thing that annoys me is when all your turrets shut down if you dont finish building the advanced turret factory quick enough....
It isn't a biggie. Get over it.
I've been placing siege cannons now and I'm still not sure what solved the prior problem.
Now, however, I'm having trouble upgrading certain turret factories. Is there a limit on the number of turret factories that can be updated? Or, is there a specific distance required between Advanced Turret Factories?
My team was trying to surround a hive and I was trying to place siege turrets in 2 locations (we were pressing pretty hard ) and after upgrading one turret factory, I didn't have the option to upgrade the other. This second factory would not let me place siege cannons. The second factory was also out of the range of the first factory.
Any ideas?
