The first tier level upgrades. Will we see more?

Recently with ScottT's depth rework the seamoth pressure modules got split into 3 mark modules that don't stack anymore.

A good thing. But why not generally use the mark tech for most upgrades, fabricator and builder items?

A tier based seamoth upgrade console:
  • pressure module (mark 1-3)
  • energy efficiency module (mark 1: 75% drain, mark 2: 50% drain)
  • solar recharger (mark 1: slow recharge max 50m, mark 2: std recharge max 200m, mark 3: recharge on luminiscent elements)
  • cargo space (mark 1: 4x4, mark 2: 6x6)
  • perimeter defense (mark 1: only single shock, mark 2: charging shock)
  • torpedo system (mark 1: 4 torpedos, mark 2: 8 torpedos, mark 3: 8 guided torpedos)
  • torpedos (mark 1: vortex, illumination, sound; mark 2: singularity, heat seaker, virtual imager)
  • sonar (mark 1: close range, mark 2: far range)
  • hull strength (couple with pressure module and skip this)
  • additional module: booster (mark 1: 2x speed for 10sec, mark 2: 2x for 20sec, hovercraft)

A tier based scanner room upgrade system:
  • mark 1: range extension, speed extension
  • mark 2: base habitat display extension
  • mark 3: bioscan extension, alert extension

A tier based tool system:
  • Propulsion cannon (mark 1: std, mark 2: repulsion power)
  • O2 tanks (mark 1: 1min, mark 2: 2min heavy, 1min light, mark 3: 2min light with adv rebreather, 4min heavy with liquid breathing)
  • Scanner (mark 1: low range, normal scan; mark 2: mid range, bioscan; mark 3: nearby detector included)
  • Diving Suit (mark 1: std, stillsuit; mark 2: rad suit; mark 3: reinforced powersuit)

A tier based builder system:
  • Base module tiers (mark 1: titanium, glass, enameled glass = negative reinforcement; mark 2: plasteel, ALON = positive reinforcement)
  • modular walls modifications (mark 1: glass windows, reinforcements, wall integrated lockers; mark 2: integrated flood pumps, ALON windows)
