NS2 is a great game, marred only by being worse than the original. (worse movement, worse positional audio and bogged down gameplay by the cyst and power node mechanics).
There are too many variables. I can't vote in this poll. UWE should obviously finish Subnautica before doing anything else. I don't think the CDT has the time to make NS3; even if they do a successful kickstarter with the blessing of UWE to go and make NS3 on the unreal engine or something; they'd have to quit their day jobs and go work full time on making NS3 and I don't see that happening.
