V-sync

Will it ever be an option again? Pretty please? I really do not need 140 FPS while listening to my card's high-pitched wheezing and waiting for it to fry. Not so fun story: I launched the game, then got called away from computer, leaving it at the lovely new menu screen. I returned a while later, just in time to see my computer do an emergency power down due to overheating.

I know there's a command to turn v-sync on, but it makes my entire screen go green, so not really an option. Nvidia panel doesn't help, either, because the game just ignores the settings no matter how I set them, both global and game-specific. Some people on Steam suggest using third party programs, but I refuse to install random, potentially harmful stuff, especially if there's no guarantee it would work.

PS: Playing on the latest experimental build, max graphics settings.

What graphics card do you have? I recommend downloading the appropriate utility (AMD Settings for AMD, GeForce Experience for NVIDIA I think) and setting a framerate cap. You can do this for specific games or for everything. I also recommend getting MSI Afterburner or something similar to set up a more "aggressive" fan profile for your card (I'm assuming it's not water cooled).

It's nvidia, and as I said - nvidia tools do not work. I have it set up to limit FPS both globally and for Subnautica specifically and it just doesn't work anymore on the latest game builds.

Also, to be perfectly honest, my card/setup is not the problem here. I shouldn't have to download and install additional software just to have access to a basic function that should be in the game by default, really. It WAS in the game, even, just for some ungodly reason got removed. Sorry, just slightly frustrated here.
