Has this game worked for you at any point? Like properly?
Nope. I got it just after the farming update (I think the H2.0 update, actually) - whichever was later.
I've got a rig that should run it fine - it's a fresh Win10 x64 with 16GB - about the only thing "lite" is the nVidia GTX 650 Ti, everything else exceeds specs. I've updated the nVidia driver repeatedly (although I'm thinking about uninstalling and going back to MS certified drivers to see how this affects it).
I'm guessing this issue is affecting some people - probably in the order of 2-5% of the users (dunno...) based on the content of these forums.
I live in hope that (a) they'll find a fix for it or (b) the game will release in Early Access on the Xbox [where video card driver/version/BS issues shouldn't exist]

You mentioned the Above but I have to ask a question regarding two things, A. the driver you're using on your Nvidia graphics card and B. your processor type, this is because at this point in time I am running Subnautica without a dedicated GPU.
If you could fill me in on these two things I might be able to help you out.
By driver, I am of course asking who the provider of your driver is and the build number.
