Terrain Test black & pixelated -- will Subnautica look like this too?

I just downloaded the terrain test for Subnautica, and it is not rendering properly. I don't know why. I believe I have the right system requirements, but I'll include a screenshot of my "about this mac" window.

What's going wrong, and will Subnautica still work even though this doesn't? Thanks!

on the steam page it says you need
MINIMUM:
OS: OS X 10.9 Mavericks
Processor: Intel Haswell 2 cores / 4 threads @ 2.5Ghz or equivalent
Graphics: Intel HD 4600 or equivalent
Storage: 6 GB available space

you don´t meet those

also could you give info about your Graphics card and processor.
you should probably update your systems os.

Oh... right. Thanks. I would, but I was advised not to update my OS after my solid state hard drive almost died last year. This laptop is nearing four years old, which is close to its natural lifespan. Thanks for clearing that up! I really need a desktop PC...
