I do a couple miles here and there, rarely more than 3..
I picked up strength training as a nice little hobby some time ago, though, and that's basically how I pass the time these days <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

How's your diet? Also... running every day is going to counteract (severely) any kind of muscle growth you're trying to achieve. Aerobic exercise is unrelated to muscular hypertrophy, and largely uninvolved in getting stronger.

diet is actualy very good being in the military they are very good at supplying us with good nutritional food. i eat lots of protien mainly. problem with running is i cant exactly not do it. we have to meet certain cardio standards so i cant just not run. and its not that im not strong im suprisingly strong, its just i dont look it at all!

I ran 6 miles every other day and 12 if it fell on a weekend, and pumped iron on alternating days. 6 to 7 days a week I was doing something. Religiously. If you want to do this successfully proper protein intake is imperative (for running too).
The results: 14% body fat and 7 marathons under my belt. -_-

But is running 5x a week really mandatory? Because that could set you back as far as muscle growth goes..
Also, what kind of lifting do you do?
