[CRASH] Audio will will lockup on startup and then program will crash (30230 Mar-2016)

Sometimes when I launch the the game with my Razer Kraken 7.1 headset plugged in, the audio will make a really high pitched sound until I unplug them which leads to the game crashing.
If I relaunch the game with them plugged in again it usually just works at that point
