Disable map on SeaGlide? Map toggle button?

So I like the idea of the map hologram on top of the SeaGlide but in practice it actually feels fairly useless, redundant and actually irritating as it blocks a lot of your vision directly in front on you. If it was more toward the bottom of the screen I wouldn't mind so much but as it is, I really wish there was a button to turn it off.

Does anyone else agree?
