Radiation in other areas

I like how radiation locks out an area for a while but after you shut up the Aurora you are left with a lead lined suit for absolutely nothing. I think it would be cool to have radiation caves where some form of flora spews radiation in a wonderful lit up fashion in the deep part of the ocean.

Yes please. Could theses caves be shut down by killing the center plant or something and would this effect normal fish (In subnautica) and make them look different?

Yeah I thought when the ship blew the pieces spread with radiation attached to it so if you get near the browned off parts you can pick up I thought there will be radiation... Idk lol

It would make sense to find natural radiation where greater sources of uranium could be found. Probably at the magnetite mountains and maybe the grand reef, though it would make the use of the radiation helmet somehow difficult, as the seperate helm prevents the use of the rebreather and some day the devs will limit the suits to pressure and temperature.

Somewhere I made a thread about upgradable diving suits. Apart from the standart swimming suit

we could have the radiation suit as an advanced diving suit model

with advanced upgrades like rad and thermal protection or liquid breathing.

Another place I'd like to have radiation would be a massive uranium ore area in the ILZ or deeper.

It would also be very realistic to make the lead based rad suit very heavy, so that it would increase your downdrift massively.

It'd be great if there were dedicated uranium mine caves with special mutated/irradiated flora and fauna that contribute a LOT to research (Since mutated animals would help study evolution and biology on the planet)
The radiation suit would see some real action after the Aurora that way.
