We could find some transparent creature in the sea that is a bit like the real life pyrosoma

and has plasmoid and mimic abilities like in the movie Abyss

Imagine yourself diving with the seamoth, when suddenly in the dark you face a bioluminiscent copy of your own seamoth. You get closer to inspect the phenomena. Then you accidentially turn on the magnetic scanner ...
Suddenly you see a giant creature turning from transparent to bioluminiscent due to interferences from the magnetic pulse. The creature is big enough to swallow the seamoth. And created a smaller bioluminiscent copy of its prey to lure it to his closer transparent body before swallowing it.
It's basically the anglerfish

but more the amoeba/pyrosoma version, joined with bioluminiscence mimicry instead of a simple light in the dark.
