Graphic request

Ok, I had all this stuff typed up, and then my browser decided to move two pages back suddenly. So here I go again... I'll try to get it right.

BTW, I feel really weird asking for this, but I don't trust myself to do the job that could be done with this thing.

I'm looking for a graphic, black background, a singular orange circle in the center, perhaps moved up a bit to make room at the bottom for the NS.org site url.

Inside the circle will be one marine, and one class 1 alien, in profile, outlined in grey. Bob will be overlaying the marine, and both will be overlaying the orange circle. The insides of the outlines of the marine and Bob should not be empty, but black, so that what they cover does not show through.

The marine should be facing left, holding an NS weapon of any kind (whatever works) in ready position, much like you see here, only... well, facing left, and as an outline.. no textures, colors, or anything like that, other than grey. A grey outline.

Bob should be facing right, and appear basically just like he does in my avatar, only in an grey outline. [edit]And maybe his head should be raised a bit more. *shrug*[/edit]

The outline should be a tiny bit thinner than the thickness of the circle. (I'm attaching an example of the circle.. that much I can do in Paint (Photoshop doesn't do circles!?&#33)

The NS.org url should be in an easy to read font, but small, so it doesn't overpower the image above (say, the size of links on this site.. that's a nice size...) the font should be futuristic looking if possible, angles a definite must (even Arial would do.. so long as it ain't 'PrettyScript' or whatever).

The image itself should be 125 pixels in height.

Width is not that much an issue. It can not exceed 400 pixels, but if you need 400 pixels to do this, you're probably doing something wrong. Width should probably be whatever is needed for the URL. If you have extra space on either side of the circle, perhaps turrets on either side would do. In grey outline. Hair thin lines though. Nothing like Joe (the Marine) and Bob. If you have extra space because of the URL, but not -quite- enough for turrets, go ahead and make the room by stretching it out. Empty space next to the URL doesn't matter nearly as much as empty space next to the circle.

Attached is an example I drew up in Paint. There are five grey spots in the example.

The top-most grey spot (on the left) is where I envision about where the marines head would be. Inside or on the circle, near the top, but not centered horozontally.

The left-most dot would be about where the very end of the barrel of whatever gun he's holding would end up. Somewhere outside the circle, above the 'equator' of the circle.

The lower left dot is about where I envision the marine's foot. Its placement is not as important as the other two marine dots. It can move up, down, left, or right, in or out of the circle.. whatever looks good.

The right hand dot that appears to be on the circle itself would be about where Bob's snout ends. It's placement is not as important as well. However, it must be on out outside the circle for balance with the marine. From there however, you can do what you want. His entire head could be outside the circle for all I care.

The lower right dot would be where his foremost claw lands. Again, placement is not an issue. As long as it's outside the circle, and at the same level as the marine so they appear to be standing on the same surface, it'll be fine. Whatever looks good.

I -think- I've covered everything. If you have any questions, lemme know.

If no one wants to do it, I'll understand.

And if you're wondering what I'm going to do with it... I'm going to attach it to my Forum signature over at Stratics, and possibly other places. And I'm pretty sure it'd make a nice graphic anywhere else as well.

[edit]*Sees everything he typed* Man. That's a lot of stuff. Maybe I shoulda just drawn a picture? *grin* I wonder if there are a thousand words in there![/edit]

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

Word count on Moleculors post anyone?

I'll give that picture a try tonight when I get home. Unless someone beats me to it.

Don't unconditionally take that one yet.. I'm working on one as I type this... My marine's legs will probably be less stumpy than chromie's.

The picture I was working from was a bit af an awkward angle. I've got it as a vector graphic so I can adjust the outlines if you like...

Hm. Yes. Those legs are stubby. He looks like a midget.

However, after staring at it for a while, I've thought of how to fix it. Put a light going between his legs, showing where the one closest to us is going.

Not that it matters, since I was thinking of Bob and the marine closer together, so that Bob is actually covering up part of the lower half of the marine.

Also, your detail level isn't high enough, so the JPEG is losing color. Maybe do it as a GIF, or increase the detail to 10?

And don't let my talking to Greedo stop you Drunken. I'll take the best one that's made.

Sorry guys, but even if you came up with the worlds best pic, I wouldn't be able to use it any more. Turns out one of the forums I hang out on has a 'No Pictures in Signatures' policy.

    Sorry for wasting your time.

Maybe someone else will find a use for it. It's not like it's got your name on it or anything.

For me it wouldn't be so much how much I would have to pay, but more the fact all the trouble paying at all...

Hey, I'm not registered with paypal or anything like that! :S

But seeing as this wasn't a serious suggestion in the first place...make it 10 bucks.
