Terraform tool upgrade?

I love the terraform tool how it is now, But sometimes it just removes to much. I dont think this option is in the game but if it is im sorry

What it does: This just allows you to adjust the size of land you are adding/removing.
How it works: You would start off like normal but after you start holding (right click) and the red/green balls come up you would be able to adjust the size of the ball via mouse scroll wheel or some other option.

Its simple but it would help me and some other people alot

As it is now, it looks like the Devs might completely remove the terraformer from the game for some reason. As such, I'd doubt they will give it any sort of upgrades.
