Crash during startup

Hi Devs,
After selecting "New Game" and "Freedom", the game starts loading.
Before completing the load, it crashes (Windows dialog: the application stopped working, analysis...)
It is not a super-machine, but as far as I can tell it satisfies the minimum requirements.

My son would be happy if this could be fixed... he likes the game !
