Is it intended that the player's position in the game world is updated at a lower framerate than the game?
I mean, I'm running the game on a 144hz G-Sync monitor and the framerate looks lovely if I just stay in one place and move the camera around. Perfectly smooth. The instant I start moving my character, I notice that the player movement is noticeably more choppy than the camera movement. This happens even when Fraps is reporting an unaffected framerate.
I've noticed a similar issue in the Underworld: Ascendant prototype and the developers explained that player movement is tied into the game's physics system which is updated at a lower tickrate than 144hz. Is this also happening in Subnautica? If so, are there any plans to improve this? The choppy movement is distracting on a monitor and it seems like it would be a dealbreaker in VR.
