A little bit of a backstory idea

I was told that the devs frequently check these forums, and I hoped that they might see this... Sure, my idea is a little bit dumb, but I find it interesting. So here it is, copied from a word document:

The United Nations Inter-Space Exploration Agency. January 21st, 2158.
Hello. If you are hearing this, then you have been drafted by the United Nations Inter-Space Exploration Agency (UNISEA). Your mission is to terraform an oceanic planet named Giro 378c. You must first be informed of the target planet. Giro 378 is an F class main-sequence star and is about 6830 Kelvin, 1050 Kelvin above the temperature of our sun. Giro 378c is in a binary orbit with Giro 378d, a hot desert planet with a heavy CO2 atmosphere similar to Venus. The planet you will be attempting to terraform is confirmed to be hostile in certain biomes with large serpentine-like creatures. Some creatures you should be on full alert of, like the Reaper Leviathan and the unstudied “Sea Dragon Leviathan.” You will be aboard the Aurora, a space vessel engineered for the journey. You will be part of a crew of 21 people. You will be travelling by a special wormhole-creating machine created by the organs of a Warper, a creature that creates wormholes at will. The trip will take two days. We hope to see you at the bay.

Signed,

I hope anyone who sees this also finds it interesting... Thank you for your time.
Also, if any devs see this, change it in anyway you like to make it better.

How would they know what the Warpers are, much less how to obtain a specimen and reverse-engineer their portal generation? I think that FTL technology is more feasible for travelling there considering that Subnautica takes place in the far-flung future and that Alterra has presumably sent terraforming ships to other planets before. Additionally the devs said that the sea dragon leviathan will make its home in the inactive lava zone, far below the surface. Again, how would Alterra know about it? There has been at least one previous visit to the planet (Since you can find the ruins of the old sea bases) but it doesn't seem to have ended well.

I do like the name and descriptions for the planets and star though. Sorry if I come across as nit-picky.

Those are very good points, and thank you. Keep in mind about FTL technology, the only known way for space travel faster than light is through wormholes. If you have any better ideas for how they reach the planet, I would be happy to know them. I will be sure to revise the document and show it...
Also,This doesn't quite take place that far into the future, only in the mid 2100s
