Aliens Hear Me

why
I have a problem with this. If I use my microphone to say "follow me guys" or "I see that skulk on ceiling" the aliens won't hear me, but if I use the ingame "follow me" or "xenoform spotted" all the aliens hear me. So why use ingame voice at all? The only reason is for ammo, medpacks and "order needed" and thats for the commander to spacebar to your location..

This makes it unfair for those without a mic. At least make it sound like gibberish to the aliens.. it's not as if they speak English.

PS. I posted this in suggestions but I wanted to hear more views on it. Arg now we have 2 different threads about the same thing.. maybe they can be combined? My bad.

Almost every PC comes with a mic. So unfair is not a valid arguement. The mouse "radio" adds atmosphere. I use it also because it helps the commander find you faster.

The marines hear aliens' radio commands too.

alien radio commands don't sound like anything

the marine radio commands are very clear and understandable, and also the commander can press space bar to go straight to where the marine is, for ammo drops etc.

radio can sometimes be unclear and you cant make out what the fuk he is saying.

but using radio commands alerts the enemy and they run off. but it depends on the situation, if you are defending something its best to use the radio to scare them off, or if you are alone and you dont want trouble.

Alien "ATTACK" is a short RAWRRRRR
    "incoming" is a short LORRRRR

if you play aliens you would know what they mean when u hear them

Actually, if I hear marines anywhere, I try to stalk and kill them, now run away with my tail between my legs.
But really, if you're close enough to hear the radio commands, you could pretty easily hear them walking around anyways.
I guess it's helpful to know if they need ammo or health, but I'd still rush 'em anyways.
I hardly think it's unfair for people with no mic's. I have a mic, but i end up typing more often than not anyhow.

Yeah, the aliens can hear you with in-game voice. However, I like to psyche them out. Call for health and ammo - when they attack you (since you've got full ammo and 100 health ) nail em!

I do play aliens, its just that no one uses them (well cept chuckle, and that is just to **obscenity** off marines ;D)

personaly, I like the entire radio situation (especialy the taunts, I use em constantly ;D)

but I also use nme here, need HP/ammo, roger that, awaiting orders

personaly I think the perks that it gives the aliens dosn't out way the benifits it gives marines

when I am alien I always charge when ever I hear 'I need a med pack'
but I will still use them b/c a good commander can get it to you fast, as well as nme here is positioned so perfectly (just straight down, and when you use a track ball, that is realy esay to do
