Custom spectator

I have the lua/Spectator.lua loaded in the ModSpectator.lua .... and then made alterations to it, once loaded... how do I make the game recognize it? ... I added <spectator> in the game_setup.xml ... cuz when I loaded it from the SharedMod it threw an error...
