Hey Unknown Worlds! I'm loving Subnautica so far, but I've experienced this odd bug. (The game also crashes on startup sometimes, and can get very laggy - but that's not a concern for me at the moment.)
Basically, the glitch causes your Water Filtration Device to become invisible apart from the steam(?) jets on the sides. Here's a picture:
In this state, I cannot deconstruct the device - I am not prompted to "hold E to deconstruct", and doing so anyway has no effect. It also seems that the hitboxes are mucked up, since I can walk straight through it - though my character does seem to bump into "something" and be pushed a little sideways along the way.
HOW I DID IT:
Step 1) Build a standard room, with a hatch and the water filtration device inside.
Step 2) Exit the room, and go to the wall that the filtration device is attached to. IIRC, there should be a visible intake port on that wall.
Step 3) Build a standard corridor on the aforementioned wall. IMO, this should in theory not be possible, since the wall is taken up by the intake port.
Step 4) That's it! Your Filtration Device should now be invisible, which can be confirmed by entering the room. Again, you should also be able to pass through into the newly built corridor. In addition, you can delete the new corridor (As I have done in the picture) and the device should remain invisible and intangible.
So yeah, great game save for this one slightly irritating bug. In the meantime, is there anyway I can remove the device, since the deconstruct function doesn't work? (If I have to deconstruct the entire room, that'd suck a bit - the same room contains my fabricator and a storage locker. Ah well, I guess I can work with that.)
Thank You!

I have a feeling that the water filter did actually get removed when the corridor was built. However, the steam part simply failed to get removed along with it for some reason.
