DoD is still my top mod of the moment though NS rivals a close second. I've played Ricochet, SvenCoop S&I, Rocket Crowbar (!!!!) and Desert Crisis. Though I didn't get awfully into S&I as my favorite weapons were the Briefcase and the C4 Briefcase, but then again I'm a maniac, so..
I gave up on S&I, Desert Crisis and took a hiatus from SvenCoop until 2.0 came out and it just didn't rekindle that romantic fire for me, so dropped SvenCoop as well. Nowadays I just stick to DoD, NS and TFC (once in a blue moon).
I´ve played many mods......... Vampire slayer: totally pwned me, but the servers are too far away, and i always have more than 250 ping and ppl just kills me =P Cs: was good but too repetitive TFC: is cool, but im not a really good player so its pretty boring getting pwned =P DoD: is good but not my type FLF: is damn cool, i really love playing it =D NS: sheez.......... i just can´t take enough from it =P my family is getting worried about me playing too much ns... Dbzmods: they are cool when you are bored, is nice flying around throwing energy balls and super attacks =D wizardwars: umm it´s pretty sucky sven coop: heh i had some nice times playing this, specially in the coliseum <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> pirate vikings and knights: is cool but not enough servers.... just 2 or 3 and most of the time empty... Science and industry: damn this game rox but i dont have enough time to play all the games in the world D= The specialist: a mod with bullet time can´t suck =D Dm´s: well i dont like dm´s.... too quakish, but when i feel angry i play it to feel better... Train hunters: heh this game is just cool, i love that weapon that lets ya fly trough the map at amazing speed, and that rope thingie is cool too =D you can go trough the buildings in a spider-man fancy way =D Master sword: its a cool rpg mod, but still in early development dunno if they are still workin on it... Digital paintball: I thought a paintball for hl would dissapoint me, but actually i pretty much liked the game =D

I think objectively speaking, CS is the best mod, in terms of addictiveness, originality, largest multiplayer game in the world etc. However Im really bored with it and people are so damn good and so damn serious these days you have to really concentrate to get decent scores. Ive played it from one of the early beta-versions and now Ive had enough(Im gonna start up again when cz comes out though)
Personally I think dod is the most fun and most addictive mod.
Ns is also great but after one or two rounds you are almost exhausted because you have to work so hard together with the team.
The specialists is very well made, very good mod, but a bit too fast for me. I know there is bullettime, which I prefer, but then the sound becomes muffled.
Of those under development here are the ones that seem the most promising:
Russian front, Bushido, CiN, Hostile intent.
So far especially HI, because they have released the most stuff. For one thing they have made their own custom sound engine so the soundquality will be like doom3(according to themselves). I also read that they have 14 different sounds just for fly-by bullets(!)

I love firearms it was all i played pretty much until ns
DOD is good every now and then its got a real nice slow pace that is easy to dron to.
TFC sucks... i never likes it at all.
and ive played Pirates Vikings Knights but it wasnt that goood and neither was wizard wars
Tour Of Duty is pretty good but needs a lot more work. it has a lot of potential.
