Introduce gradients in alien upgrade paths

So it costs about 5 res as a fade to get the spur upgrade. The situation right now is that you pay the same for 1 or 3.
In tight games where res accumulation is scarce, this can be difference between winning or not. Instead of artificially diving the res count by 3(so 5/3 for fade, 8/3 for onos etc), why not make it a step-case where the cost is frontloaded? I.e. the understanding is that the step from 0 to 1 is the biggest and then you get diminishing returns. So if we reuse our fade example, 2.5 res for the first spur, then 1.5 for the second and just 1 for the last. The total upgrade cost wouldn't change, but you'd give a more even playing field in those tight matches where both teams have low res count but if marines have a2/w2 locked in, you can go about as normal as a marine while aliens are at a bigger disadvantage. This would be at least one pathway to ameliorate that.

If so. No thanks.
I don't think this would make much of an impact at all anyway. If you have 35 pres to spend for a fade - then the difference between 4 and 5 pres is 36 seconds / harvester count? (my math is broken today?)
This is something that should be asymmetric between the teams in my opinion. It's a cost to upgrade, you don't get res back if you lose a chamber.
