<div class="IPBDescription">Dream as remembered, not a story.</div> This isnt a story its a dream I had last night, as best as I remember it. It was a lot more detailed but I forgot a lot after waking up. It was bound to happen.
I started out as an alien, me and another skulk and 2 lerks were in some ground level vents attacking a small room with 3 marines/humans trying to set up a base or build on some resource nozzles,(I remember clearly moving my darn mouth open and shut, I hope I'm not doing that in my sleep.) soon after somehow somewhere we Aliens and Marines ran into a dying scientist who said not to go into this elevator before dying, so somehow me and 2 others agreed to go down and check it out, we had some temporary truce with marines or something. There were 2 aliens but we had evolved into a human shape, and 1 marine and we went down the elevator. Went down many stories and stopped. Doors opened to a long brightly lit hallway with tons of data storage on both sides (looked like 1' x 2' glass rectangles slightly irridescent in slots) there was debris and some broken stuff in the hall, we started down the hall to a junction. The lights were a bit dimmer here. It was a four way junction, a little farther up I could just make out what looked like hive growth but it was not the same as ours. I looked to the left and saw what looked like an oversized, black in color defense chamber except it moved, when suddenly the human started walking down the hall straight towards it we yelled at him to stop but he went on like a zombie. I sensed no way to communicate with it and was strangely filled with fear? The other alien and I ran like heck for the elevator, we were out of contact with the rest of our hive members. Remember pressing button and doors slowly shut, but at last second doors opened and the 7 foot oversized black defense chamber was there, there was nothing in the long hall just seconds ago, my partner walked out the doors to it seemingly in its control, though i could see my alien partners form I sensed he was no longer there (mind) and I was once again stricken by fear, couldnt move. the doors shut again and elevator headed up. Before long and before the elevator made it back to top I once again regained contact w/ the 4 other aliens waiting topside and felt comfort, and made it known to them as to what happened, they decided to be ready defensively for when I broke the news to the waiting marines that there partner walked off apparantly towards an alien, but how was i going to explain it was alien to me too? The elevator made it back to the surface? ,(think the base was a large research center in a compound but on earth, I remember early in the dream seeing a large cafeteria and I was standing on a table saying to myself wth am i doing standing on a table, whatever the place was it was cool and it seemed real.) Anyhow some type of conversation took place and we decided to work together (aliens and marines) to retrieve our missing comrades. I remember looking at a fellow alien and thinking to each other how cool it would be to get to use those marine guns ( I was in some type of human form) we took a short walk to the base they had set up and geared up, they had lmgs and pistols. So we all headed back to the elevator ( I believe there were 2 lerks, they looked cool,2 skulks, the size was to small in the dream, me (alien in human form w/ lmg) and 4 marines consisting of 3 men and 1 woman, In light camo kevlar armor armed with what appeared to be LMGs (There was a lot more detail to this when I first woke up including conversations but within minutes of waking up, saying wow that was cool, I forgot a lot of it.) We made it back down the elevator to the hallway and cautiously advanced down the hall (no scanners, no hivesight) looked all clear at 4 way, continuing straight we went up a small ramp into a room with alien growth all around, but it was alien to us aliens, not like ours. We spotted our 2 comrades standing a little ways off not moving and were on the lookout for anything, upon getting closer to them we noticed there skin had a textured green mottled appearance. For some reason I sensed that mind wise they were dead to us. It all felt so wrong, I yelled out waste them shoot the place up, The others had found a small room off to the side that had a marine ammo refill station (what did they need that for?) but suddenly these doors that I swear werent there 2 seconds ago opened up on both sides of the ramp behind me and out walked 8-10 HA-HMG, aaaaahhhhhhhhh, run, I spotted a small spiral stairway that went someplace up and decided if we could make it up there we, could defend the narrow passage. One of the lerks was idiotically shooting spikes at the HA-HMG zombie marines, which were only suited for taking down small game on the homeworld and do squat vs anything made of metal.(as happens in dreams the following made no sense) I yelled for the lerks and skulks to follow me as I could give a damn about the marines and ran up the stairway, at the same time noticing the black oversized defense chamber in the side room and 1 of the foolish marines walking towards it obviously under its control, heard a ton of gunfire but didnt look back, after a short climb up some stairs we ended up in a room with windows. We were on the surface, how? the marines followed shortly, saying get a window open we arent making a dent on those zombie ha marines, so I opened a window (why didnt i shoot the dang thing out) and we all climbed out ending up on a city street? where me and the aliens headed down one street and the marines went down another. (Ending really bit)
I think the oversized intelligent? defense chambers must have been the result of scientist DNA altering, maybee me and the other aliens were captured and brought back to earth. And that was the result of a hive mind and a defense chamber or something, the alien growth was way different, more like fungus. Weird dream huh. It was in color and it was cool, I just dont remember firing the lmg, darn. Im thinking I have to stop playing this from 6pm to 11pm before bed.

When I dream of games it's quite obvious I played way too much (say 12+ hours in line?)...
Or to put it technically: Too much input of same shape makes brain "stack-overflow"... or kinda smth. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I suggest: Read a book the next day, take a walk or smth alike - to let your brain have other input and get rid of stuff...
