What's the best software to do this on a budget? I'm hoping to do some YouTube videos on it and want to get some good equipment

If you have an Nvidia GTX 650 or higher, go with Shadowplay since its hardware based and has minimal to no substantial performance impact on fps. It comes with your Nvidia drivers under 'GeForce Experience'. It's not raw video however, but auto-compresses it with the H.264 standard with resolution your game is running at (IIRC).

If you don't have that, then go with Fraps probably and record at the highest FPS you can maintain steadily. Aim for 60 fps all the time if possible, otherwise 30 will work but won't be as sexy. Highest detail level is helpful for youtube videos.

I use overwolf and its pretty non-invasive (but I've got a substantial rig). I'll have to try shadowplay though.
