Okay, I will start with a positive vibe. I love Subnautica! Its one of the best early access survivals I have ever played. I love the visuals, gameplay almost everything. But there are some things that could be implemented in order to make the game more compelling. What do I have in mind, you might ask ? Well nothing really big, just some minor components which could be added.

1. Make player base more usefull gameplay wise.
Ahh yes! Home, sweet home ! Coming back from a long voyage, only to find that the place is mostly used for storage and crafting. I think that we need something more. We could use some more interaction with the underwater faciliteis in which we invest so much resources. In my opinion you could consider adding a "stamina" bar. It would be decreasing over a long period of time, and eventually if not taken care of it would have a negative impact on our character movment. To replenish stamina we would need to "rest". And what I mean by that - sit on a chair for a while, maybe sleep in bed if you add one. This would make Structures like observatory more awesome. Imagine laying in your bed, resting your body while watching all the life forms behind the windows. And yes I know that there are concepts of adding a farm and producing your own food, which is great. I just came up with idea of expanding that even further.

2. Make an upgraded Power Cells which could be recharged.
Well, it was bothering me for a while since my Cyclops was moslty used as a base, because I was too lazy to gather resources on extra cells. It consumes too much time and materials, in my opinion. It would be good to create an upgraded Power Cell, which could be recharged in a special machine. Depending on your plans on the energy economy, it could have a positive impact on the game. Many players ask for a way to recharge Cyclops power supply, so it would solve that problem with little effort. Of course it will need to be rebalanced. Maybe decrease maximum power capacity of the rechargable cells from 100 to around 75 ? This will make a trade, recharge vs. overal capacity and add more depth to this aspect of the game. The only problem would be too much information on player status. HP, food, thirst, temp, thats a lot of colorfull bars. The UI might be little overloaded with information, so this would need to be addressed.

3. My last suggestion is .... add companions.
I know we wont be seeing multiplayer for a long while, and sometimes I feel very lonley ... it is almost terryfying at some point. Since creating network code is a very difficult task, why not add NPC's to the game. They could be survivors just like the player, or robots/ machines which you could craft and interact in some way. And I know that some players like the feeling to be "The Last One", but I think that adding at least a funny robot companion is a good way to compromise.

Those are my thought on the matter. Maybe you already decided what to do in those aspects of the game and my words here would be irrevelant, but I had to write some of the ideas I came up with. Maybe they will help you in some way. Keep up the good work.
