they had some great creature designs, specifically their Air units, which I feel would make great additions to the stable of creatures that inhabit Subnautica.
Of course, they wouldn't be exact copies, but creature concepts. Examples if you will.
First on the list of the alien menace turned into adorable monsters, is the Overlord.
Or, as it would be called in Subnautica, the peaceful Bloat Crab. With a bellyful of noxious gasses, it floats lazily through the ocean, propelled only by ocean currents, and it's devil-may-care attitude.
(3 times the size of a Gasopod, or the size of one of the XL Floaters that support the Floater Island.)
Second, is the Brood Lord
Also known by its Subnautica name, the defensive Devil Skate. A colossal manta ray type creature, this behemoth floats along the surface, protected by its symbiotic relationship with smaller, carnivorous creatures that attack anything that gets near.
(Larger than a Reefback)
Third. The Corruptor
Referred to as the Bull Squid on Subnautica. Bull Squids are large, hostile creatures that eject globs of deadly corrosive acid from their mouths. They can also charge and ram their prey with their bulbous heads. They inhabit deep, dark areas such as the Grand Reef.
(About 2/3rds the size of a Reaper Leviathan)
Number Four. The Hydralisk.
Or, known by its Subnautica name, the Spine Shark. A serpentine relative of the Warper, the Spine Shark is a hostile creature that kills its prey by shooting small spikes (a-la a Spike plant) from holes on the sides of their heads, or by slashing with their powerful arm blades. They tend to dwell in caves and deep areas.
(About twice the size of a Bone Shark, or slightly smaller than a Warper)
Number 5, the Defilier.
Called the Sand Scorpion on Subnautica. This hostile crustacean will burrow in the sand, and eject a potent acidic cloud towards whatever gets too close, before leaping out to attack or flee. They can be spotted in their hiding places by their antennae sticking up from the sand, as well as their glowing eyes watching from under ground.
(About 50% longer than a Sand Shark.)

First of all, this sounds like a copyright nightmare unless these are changed up a LOT, at which point they'd be better off just coming up with their own creations. I'm sure @Squeal_Like_A_Pig has no shortage of crazy sea creatures for this game.
*cough* Zerg are totally Tyranid ripoffs! *cough*
