Still a bit buggy with it still working outside the moth, but damn that looks so frakkin awesome. I want to see it from inside the lava caves though. I was hoping it would be something like this and they nailed on the head. Waiting patiently for implement.
Well its not done yet. It may come later, or a different iteration for critters all together. The red wire frame is just killer though. I expect there will be tweaks and adjustments to it to accommodate finding what you are looking for. I would like to see a critter tracker integrated with that unless they have something cooler in the works.
Now it won't be a terrifying when I'm heading down into the deep if I can see the bottom through sonar. I can't stand it when I can't see in front of me.
I have an odd feeling that's going to be laggy as heck.
Shouldn't impact performance too much if they are just slapping a different shader effect on the world models. Also this video reminds me of that discussion video for NS2 about how to go about alien vision, also showcasing a pulsating sonar shader effect
Oh dear. I'm rather hoping it's a toggle and that we can turn it off. I am sorry to say that I don't like it.
Lol. You will have to build a moonpool plus console, computer chip, plasteel and the sonar extension. Then you will have to load it into seamoth and finally start it. No worries man, after all that it's still a toggle
Btw ... it's great to find hidden caves.

One thing I noticed was that it didn't show creatures when it scanned.
Horrible driving though

Hmmm, going to be and shouldn't? Try it yourself, it works fine right now (experimental).
