while looking at recreating the indestructible jeweled disks i was playing with a repulsor cannon. note: shooting them with the cannon seems to (sometimes) knock them loose as would have by knife cut. Otherwise launches whole piece.

Blasted a solar panel attached to my moonbase off of it. It stayed electrically connected although the panel itself went flying far out of range. Seemingly as long as the panel remains high enough to charge it will continue to supply energy to the base. the only exception i have seen to this is if you blast it pass another base in which case it connects to that one. after being detached the panel is pushable and can still be deconstructed but cannot be picked up.

Steps: 1: construct seabase or moonpool
2: build connected solarpanel
3: use repulsor cannon to launch solarpanel into open ocean
4: note energy level stay up

this may be a minor issue however as it seems that doing a gamesave and restart fixes the issue however you must restart to fix as merely going a good distance away does not reset it.

launched panels also connect to whatever surface they are near as if built there, and panels not originally connected to a structure only provide energy while near a structure, after falling past transmission distance they stop sending juice.
