Lights and Power down

I would like to suggest one change to the existing way lights and power work with sea bases and vehicles.

When you initially build a base, the first thing we usually do is get our butts inside for oxygen. Then followed by gathering resources to power the base so that we can obviously build ourselves a printer etc.

I think it would be amazing to have the base completely without power, no lights, or voice announcement. The first time you go in, you only see the little light coming through the hatch. It isn't until you power up the base that the computer speaks, lights flicker on, and tada, it all glows beautifully at night.

This could then be applied to say the seamoth when it loses power, it switches off all lights. The seaglide and cyclops as well, maybe a light switch?

What do you think?
Imagine switching on the power in a dark cave, and seeing it illuminate the space around you.
Oh the little things in life, Subnautica is the most beautiful survival game to me, I think this would do just the trick ;)

I like the idea of looking outside without internal lights. Would be an especially neat feature when you have windows or when when you are in an observation dome. That would probably be a relatively easy feature to do.

One thing that sea-bases should have is some sort of power management. Since they obviously running on power cells, I think there should be a power cell management like in the Cyclops. Perhaps something on the base's foundation at first and then something you can move or add to a room for easier management. When you build a seabase it has no power cells, you have to add your own. It should also explain how once we construct a room there is power to drain the water and get oxygen (how?).

I imagine this is probably planned at some point, seeing as how there is "no power" status in the bases, the logical thing to do is have the lights shut off. The same could be said for vehicles like the cyclops. The cheapest thing to do is just change the brightness on the light maps to very low, since I don't think we'll be seeing much dynamic lighting due to performance considerations.

For the Seamoth, I'd like a "silent running" method where the engine is off, lights are off (internal and external) and you are just getting oxygen. The aim is to look like a rock when a Reaper is nearby but hasn't attacked yet. It would also be useful for when you are using the Seamoth just as an oxygen source in a rich area (geysers).

Thats an awesome idea, and would tie in very well with the idea of having currents. Imagine being able to navigate a cave using underwater currents, and doing this with only the lights from the shrooms and bioluminescent life.
