Slothwana's brilliant ideas for world domination.

Some ideas people are coming up with are extraordinary extravagant, which is good but it's the small things in life that make the biggest impact. Some simple things I'd like to see added to the game; Subnautica that may have already been discussed in this forum previously shall be listed here.

1. In opposition to the Air Bladder that allows the player to quickly ascend, something similar to a weight belt to help the player quickly descend would be neat.
1.5. While using the weight belt you could walk underwater, don't know why you would want to though.
2. Item stacking for minerals and others.
3. When you descend beyond say, 1000 meters it should be as dark as a cave.
4. Have you seen the movie The Abyss (1989), It would be cool to see some sort of intelligent alien life forms deep under water, say 20,000 meters.
5. Weather conditions above sea level, rain, storms .etc.

Thats all i've got so far.

    1. There probably will be, "exosuit"
1.5. You probably can, with the exosuit once its implemented.
    2. There is a reason for it not being able to stack, so inventory isnt as huge.
    3. I think thats how it is?
    4. People have thought about a sentient race on the planet. Maybe this will happen.
    5. This has also been brought up, you should just visit the thread "SUGGESTIONS MEGATHREAD"

Smart idea, nets should be a thing. Post that in SUGGESTIONS MEGATHREAD, maybe you get into the list, or maybe its also an idea that has been thought about idk just check over there. If you write your idea over there i think it will be talked about more than in your own thread.

Propulsion Cannon should do the trick.

The advantage of nets and other traps is that they don't require energy. Plus all the player would need is fiber, which is easy to get when just starting a new game.

If you're using weights to descend and Air Bladders to ascend, you're operating at neutral buoyancy. This is an ideal situation when diving.

The weight of all your equipment is balanced by buoyancy created by wetsuit material or drysuit air volume. Depth control is maintained by using a Buoyancy Compensator Device (often mistakenly called a 'Life Jacket'). BCDs differ from life jackets in that the air volume inside them varies at certain stages of the dive.

The higher the external water pressure, the lower the air volume contained inside a BCD's air bladder, and vice versa.

In order to hold at a particular depth, additional air may need to be blown into the BCD bladder, usually supplied by a separate airline attached to the dive tank's regulator first stage. BCDs can also be inflated in an emergency by using a mouthpiece valve. As the diver ascends, the air already inside the BCD's bladder will increase in volume, adding buoyancy. This means that some air will need to be released from the BCD in order to safely control the diver's rate of ascent.

The Exo-Suit gets around this by using an array of thrusters. It's basically a deep-sea submersible that you wear.

The Exosuit is more of a mini-mech that a wearable suit... the player actually sits down in it. I would have called the mech Seaskipper (after the Mudskipper fish that can walk on land). Another plausible name would be the Coelacanth - because Coelacanths are lobe finned fish; making them more related to land animals.

Or name it closer to the seamoth like "seamonkey" (ok, that one is stupid, but i'm not in the mood to think too hard about it right now)
