Structural Base elements for better Utility positioning

With the upcoming solar panels and (hopefully) Hydro / Wind Turbine generators, it could be very useful to introduce structural components to seabases.
Utilities that are location sensitive could be placed at the desired location by structural beams or girders. For example, if you have a seabase located in a cave entrance, you could be able to build a solar array outside the cave near the water surface by by chaining up a few girders.
Structural girders could also contain power and air cables.
You could be able to create basically any structure from a few blocks (short beam, longbeam, node).
This could also be an alternative solution for the problematic powercable issue (obviously i dont know what their ultimate goal is)
