Constant teleport back to pod

With the Oculus update, I'm now getting much more into SN, but a weird bug just started happening. I've only been playing for about 3 hours, but i'm getting suddenly, randomly teleported back into the escape pod ship.
It seems like it think's i'm still 'out' of the pod though, because the lighting is different and if i Use the door, I get popped back inside and the lighting reverts to normal lighting.
I hop out of the ship, swim out wherever, collect a few things and then pop, back in the pod and I've lost anything I collected in the meantime.
Any ideas about this?
The only 'weird stuff' I can think of was those floaty bubble things. I grabbed a few a while back and brought them into the ship, which then turned the ship a weird angle. They were there for a while but then I removed them and dropped them outside of the ship, only to notice that they gravity-sucked right back to the ship. I gave up and left, but at one point noticed the pod go flying away from wonky physics. I also had a Storage Crate inside the pod, which seemed to mess with the physics and stability, so i tried removing that and dropping it on the sea floor below the pod. Are those not meant to be in the pods?
