Console support? -Suggestion-

Something that would be very nice is console support! Playing this game on xbox360 or PS3 would be outstanding! I am well aware that this game is in early development and that they may not have time to port it over right now but this would be awesome for later. Even if it's a year or two away!

so won't happen for the 360 or ps3, both systems lack the ram requirements to run the game. What you would see on console would be a severely stripped down version of the glory we have on PC. If a game is made strictly for computer it should stick to it, I doubt the game dev have the cash or resources to make a console version of the game. (I could be wrong on this, I could also be wrong on the part where they have no plans for a console version.) The one systems I think that would actually support the game would be the PS4 and the xbox 1. These at least have up to date tech to run games that can run on computers, but since I don't own either of these... maybe someone else could fill in the blanks for my lack of information.

The PS3 and X360, and even the Wii U, at least with their stats on paper, look too weak to feasibly run Subnautica. The main problem being low amounts of RAM.

The XB1 and PS4 however could—not necessarily in maximum details and 1080p, but it could work.

That said, even if the developers were to consider this, it requires significant work to port a game to a targeted console, let alone more than one. It takes a good deal of time (and accordingly: resources) and I doubt they'll go at it before there's a completed full release for the PC, if at all.

(Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I'm only speculating here.)

Unity 5 supports Xbox 1, the architecture is similar to PC, but porting is still time and resource intensive. If it happens, it will likely be well after the Windows (and OSX) ports are finished, and even then only if there is still pent-up demand.
