User Created Content

So firstly Subnautica is amazing, both the premise and execution have been almost unlike any other game i have played. but the singular map could possibly hamper re-playability.
What do people think of User-Created Maps and possibly mods (in the long run) i understand the map is very complex and a map-maker might be a bit of a project but it would increase the variety and content considerably. especially if it was on the steam workshop.

also user-created objects such as more base components etc. would increase the size of the game massively and further expand the experience.

In the end User content is what keeps games alive well after creation. personally all the games I currently play (with the exception of MMO's) use user content because it keeps them constantly fresh

exited to hear what people have to think or what they would create

This is an issue that I've been thinking about as well. While yes, some stuff is randomized but after a while the rest seems to be pretty much the same, so I doubt there would be much to explore - but then again we haven't seen everything and it's still a very fresh game in the making.
