Corrupt Savegames and Backups

This game still does not make sense if you can not save your progress OR your savefile gets corrupted.
So, since you still seem to have some nasty bugs in there, what files would i need to manually backup my savegames so my cyclops, if i even get to build one, does not vanish into the dust of spacetime (i invested and am sort of pissed)

    Check in the install directory under one of the folders starting with "SA.." or "SD..", you will find a folder called "test" which I believe has all the relevant save game files which I've simply copied elsewhere for safe keeping. I haven't had any corruption issues but decided to back it up in case it ever gets reset by a major version update and I'll continue to just back it up at the end of each play session.
