Very far future (Warning ambitious)

It would be cool (I'm aware it probably won't happen) if you could eventually get some sort of core at the very bottom of the planet you are on and you could build a small space craft using the core... Then you could possibly make it to another planet (map). I know that doesn't wntirly make sense with the story but it would be neat to see.
