Difficulty Recording - Recorded Gameplay Speeds Up & Slows Down

Hey guys, Welsknight here.
I'm having some difficulty recording Subnautica for my Youtube channel. When I record with game capture, the recorded footage has a variable framerate and randomly speeds up and slows down. The captured footage also ends up being a minute or two shorter than my recorded commentary, because of this issue (which makes syncing it up pretty much impossible).
I've tried recording it with Mirillis Action!, LoiLo Game Recorder, and OBS (none of which have worked). This is the only game I've encountered this problem with. I can record it successfully with a monitor capture, but that isn't ideal as it greatly reduces the FPS in the captured footage.
Any ideas for a work-around, or ideas of what is causing this problem?
