Voting and Crashing

Last night rather than even toss errors it just tossed a memory leek on the voting. Today I actually got some errors. I will try to keep posting new ones but I am likely just going to disable the built in voting to prevent the crashes b/c they occur so often nowadays.

    Well you will be glad to hear that this is fixed for 275. It happens when the hive servers are timing out.

    Need a bit more details. That thread is full with all kind of different issues. The to ns2stats related ones should have been fixed since some time.

    Thanks for the info, for now I have disabled the vote in order to prevent the crashes.

    Looks like even with it off it can still crash. Apparently it can crash when your just sitting there afk by yourself in the server: http://pastebin.com/z1nF2gqx

    Glad this is fixed! I was getting visibly upset with trembling hands at the sight of force even teams disabled!

    So I guess that we still really do got to wait for 275 to fix this...
    After months of players complaining about it being off I turned it back on tonight to see if it was working but after just a few maps:

    There it is all over again. Is there any mod that maybe works around this to use in the short term. I am worried about how this is effecting games that goes on daily as months drag on with no solution yet implemented.

    @ZEROibis I get that error too but the servers are still working fine.

    How are the servers working fine? When they get that error they crash. I am not saying I get this error and it is just an error. I am saying that if players use the vote it crashes the server and produces this error.

    I get errors about memory leaks but not in 'Resources'. Force even teams does not cause crashes on my servers.

    Same here. Force Even Teams is active a long time on my servers and i have never seen a Mem Leak Error related to this vote

    What's that plugin that features shuffle? Isn't it SHINE? can't you disable FET and use Shuffle for the meantime? It performs exactly the same job with the added bonus of people unable to F4 immediately after being shuffled.

    For some reason people have concluded that force even is better than shuffle/random. Also for some reason using things outside the esc vote menu are too mentally challenging.
