Non-redemption Redemption

<div class="IPBDescription">Coming back to life mystery.</div> Not really a new player question, but there have been a couple of times when I've died and come back to life before I hit the ground (at least, that was the second time, because I was a lerk and got killed in flight). I don't use redemption so that's not the answer. I'm guessing it's down to having healed somehow during my fall, despite having been reduced to zero health.

My question is this: what caused that? Regeneration, defence chambers, the hive I was near, a combination of some or all of those?

    That actually happened to me once as a gorge, I had regeneration AND was next to a defensive chamber. I remember it seemed like I leaned over and fell to the ground, I got abit annoyed over getting myself killed. Then all of a sudden I was alive again with 10hp and I wondered if I had just imagined the whole thing.
