Unless we are going to be able to charge it with batteries somehow, letting players build a seamoth before the cyclops seems like a hell of a noob trap. There are still fragments out there, also, just a question, is the welder going to cost metal at somepoint? Seems odd to make it from only magnesium.
I'm pretty sure I saw on trello or somewhere the ability to "reload" certain equipment with batteries, hopefully that can apply to the seamoth so the cyclops isn't required for the seamoth to function
I dunno I kind of like the fact that it's tethered to the cyclops, really drives home that the cyclops is more of a staging vehicle and you use the moth to actually get things done, then return with your spoils.
Due to complexity, I would think building the cyclops first would be more troublesome to newbs than the seamoth. Recharging would be possible (via batteries/whatever), but is of course less efficient than docking it in the cyclops. As long as the player is made aware it could be recharged with batteries or cyclops.

We are definitely balancing this stuff as we go.
