HAHA, it's not just me then. Everytime I throw a flare, I get the same weird camera rotation.
No you are not.
I just received another update, and they still haven't fixed this, and it's down right annoying, and gives me vertigo (seriously), it's making me sick at the moment, and that is the first time I seriously am getting sick from playing a game. I have to shut my eyes, and press the right mouse button.
I'm not seeing any mention of this on Trello so I guess they don't see this as being an issue.
If I chunk up on my keyboard, you guys are getting the bill to replace it (hehehehe).
When you throw the flare you become the flare. I was recording a small video of what is new etc, and I dug myself a hole to get away from a nasty croc, and once I threw the flare I immediately saw myself in third person as I was twitching & turning.

Hey man, we definitely see it as an issue, just not everything can get fixed instantly, especially on the weekend when various people are in and out who might know how to fix it Also, not every bug like that is going to show up on Trello, often times it's faster to just go in and fix the bug, rather then making a card about.
Subscribing to the experimental build, requires some patience, because it definitely means stuff is going to break, on a fairly frequent basis, and not necessarily get fixed as fast as you'd hope. Especially at times like this, right before a big deadline, when so many new features and fixes and changes are going in at the same time, it means that more is probably going to break, and stuff might take longer to sort out. But we are very aware of the issue and I expect a fix will be in place by tomorrow, if not earlier.

Don't worry about it, UWE are pretty busy at the oment. This is the beauty of buying a game in the development phase, sometimes you get to play games with funny bugs in them,
Getting to record these bugs for posterity to release as a bug video reminder of the development process is a great thing

I was being a tool when I said that, I apologize.

I agree. What concerned me was how it made me sick to my stomach to the point where I had to close my eyes, and try not hock up a hairball. Now if I was using an occulus (I know it's not active yet) while playing that I am very sure I would have had to replace my keyboard.
For me, seeing something like that get through where it causes physical discomfort to the player is really something that has to kept a close eye on. Sure if the bug was like no life pod, water didn't look quite right, stalkers had three heads, or when a exploding guppy detonates, and causes a underwater nuclear explosion by mistake then yeah, those things I expect, but getting sick is a whole other matter.
Forgive me for being a tool, par of the course being me I'm afraid.
One remark I'd want to make here is that we are all aware that things are breaking and changed (had to make a lot of wiki edits already because of that )
The main point is that players, especially "steamers" will not know if the devs are aware of the bug or not if there's no tracking of it.
Yes, some bugs you may notice but others you may not. How do we differenciate and what's the best way of reporting bugs then (especially if an F8 is impossible)?

When you pick up a used flare, I was unable to open my PDA. I had to drop the used flare to be able to use the PDA as normal.
