Beta test/release party

<div class="IPBDescription">Flayras lan type idea.</div>Being the brilliant genius I am, I had this cool idea we could maybe do the day of the release, or for a beta test.

Since no one has played this mod (cept for the playtesters and the dev. team) I think it would be awesome that on the day of the release MonsE and Flarya hold a draft roster in IRC. They would choose people based on their internet personalitys, ideas from the forums, coolest avatars, etc. etc.

Anyway, I think any kind of IRC party the day of the release would be sweet, so that all the trash talkin forum junkies can mix it up with the 1337 h4x0rs.

    An IRC party is a definite.  I don't think we'll try to restrict access to people though.  When we're ready for a public release, the code should be very stable and ready for prime time.

    yeah knowing my luck it will be released here in England at 3Am or something... Please make sure It's atleast 10PM in England or at least a suitable time for people around the world... there must be some perfect time for everyone on these boards.

    well Hida, first of all, run mIRC. In the window called "status" (which is the only window you have before you connect) type in these exact phrases:

    /nick Hida_Tsuzua
    /server irc.gamesnet.net
    /join #naturalselection

    after you do that, you should be able to chat with us in the IRC room.

    Ohh to chat.  Heck I do that all the time.  It just sounded like you somehow got to play NS though MIRC (or from other mentions of IRC other times at other forums) once it was up.  My mistake.

    I personaly hope there will never be a "small beta release" to people in any form.  Simply because I'm hardly ever on my computer anymore.  Sure, I may be in the IRC chanel, but I'm not using the damn thing.  I'd hate to miss that kind of opportunity ...

    I think Flayra should just e-mail/send a PM to the people he'd want to play it early (or for more beta testers).
