Maybe I misunderstood THE TRELLO BOARD POST but I think this means we will soon be able to play an in-development verision of Subnautica! Yay!

    I like it that there aren't 1000 different craftable items that you have to spend weeks figuring out. Leaves more time for exploring. Speaking of which, I hope to see a larger explorable area in future updates - but a 1000 ft diameter circle is a great start, especially if you can explore underground.

    1000 meters mind you :) so that's like 3000 feet

    That circle is actually 1,600 m / 5,250 ft at its widest point, covering a total of 82,000 sqm / 883,000 sq ft,

    BIG!

    82,000 square meters = 287 meters x 287 meters (or 941 feet x 941 feet), in a perfect square. If you mean 82,000 meters squared, that is a MUCH different (and bigger) number.

    really looking forward to trying this out!

    err yeah those numbers don't make much sense :P I think hugh forgot a 0 in there. it should be somewhere in the ballpark of half to 1 million square meters.

    82,000 m² ~= 287 m x 287 m

    => not that big

    = 707m x 707m to 1000m x 1000m

    => big(ger)

    im not sure if I wanna be spoiled by playing a alpha. But good luck to all who do? :D

    Also..., unlike ns2, will subnautica have realistic system requirements on their store page in steam instead of requirements filed under 'it will load'? :P

    Nice to see that :

    Three langages for the moment and a page for the "Earliest Access, Paypal and maybe a price that i couldn't read (in green).

    Well too me it looks like £39.99 so maybe I won't be playing it early :wink:
  • VetinariVetinari Join Date: 2013-07-23 Member: 186325Members, Squad Five Blue, Reinforced - Shadow, WC 2013 - Silver
    it looks like 29 or 39, but guys, this is probably a placeholder ;)
  • TentaculeTentacule France Join Date: 2013-12-16 Member: 190179Members
    The price is not the important thing for the moment. I'm just happy to see the three langages !

    Guys, don't assume anything you see on trello is permanent. Yes, it is what we are actually working on, but the nature of game development is tons of placeholders and things changing all the time.

    So please don't spread any information unless we formally announce it. I see this happening already: "Well too me it looks like £39.99 so maybe I won't be playing it early :wink:"

    This is one of the risks of being open I guess.
  • TentaculeTentacule France Join Date: 2013-12-16 Member: 190179Members
    It one of the risks with Trello. We see lots of thing. We expect a lot of this game maybe that why sometimes we prevails I guess :) .

    It's actually 300 pounds, and we're never discounting it. Fact.

    What is this, some little Unity game!?

    This is a fun and interesting side effect of our Trello. We "accidentally" announced our web early access. :)

    Not that most people will know about it yet, but I like that the people that care (you guys) know!

    I like that the date (at least under consideration given the nature of the development trello) is that of October 31st which has special significance for some other project UWE worked on ;-)

    Won't that unnoficial release date kinda poop on the faultlines team? I know you are separate (ish?) Company but you're like their parent company. Not trying to sound negative, just seeing your opinions on this aspect.

    Edit - this is only if the release is on the 31st.

    Double edit - off-topic, but I just visited this forum and I'm actually interested in this game.

    We work extremely closely with Faultline and have discussed this with them at length. We very, very much want Faultline to succeed and wouldn't do anything to hurt them. It's a 'big ocean out there,' and we're confident there's room for two boats to sail together :).
