Maximap: confusion on what triangle represents my position

Hey, I'm just starting out in this game (butreally digging it sofar), I just had a really small suggestion regarding the mini/maximap:

The color of the triangle indicating my position on the maximap is a bit unclear for me because it's so much like all the other icons, in light blue just like all the buildings and other players. It always takes me a couple of seconds to figure out what "triangle" on the map I should be focusing on, especially after a teleport
I think if my position would be indicated in a different color (yellow?) or shape that stands out from the rest it would really help, moreover I think it would be a good idea to unify the styles of both of these triangles in the minimap and maximap (in the minimap your position is a thin red triangle, on the maximap a light blue one)

It's a tiny detail but I think it would help, I'm spending so much time looking at these maps already, it can be a little frustrating at times

I had the same problem but luckily there is now a solution. If you play on a server that runs the mod NS2+ (and almost all populated servers do) you can press Esc once when you are in-game, click on NS2+ Options, select the HUD tab and scroll down to Minimap arrow colour and change it to your preference.

If you have more questions, just ask away or add me as a Steam friend and I'll help you out.

You'll find more and more as you learn the maps, this won't be a problem as much. It'll get to a point where you're already looking at the right spot before you even push C. :)

But what SupaFred says is true. :)

Nonetheless this is a perfectly reasonable suggestion.
More and more of the quality-of-life improvements from NS2+ seem to be making their way into the vanilla build, so I wouldnt count this one out as a possibility
