Let Your Teammates Know You're Parasited..

<div class="IPBDescription">turn on your flashlight</div> Some have been suggesting that we could turn on our flashlight as a signal for "I need welding". As others have pointed out, though, this makes it pretty easy for aliens to find those vulnerable marines.
I think leaving your flashlight on is a perfect signal for "I'm parasited" instead. The glow won't compromise your position because the parasite already has. Parasited marines are more likely targets in an assault, and that glow will actually help your teammates as they try to pick off the 3 skulks scrambling around you. Finally, you get the obvious benefit of being able to look for those inevitable aliens in the dark.
Right now, the importance of letting each other know about your parasites is being overlooked. Consider how different you play when you know that a particular buddy is walking skulk-bait.
As for "I need welding", let's use something like a flashlight flicker (on and off) instead.

team talk is a good thing.... especially since if you're trying to be welded in the middle of combat that's just stupid....
Its best used in combonation with voice chat, flashing it to tell the second party which marine you are.

And if nothing else, it might attract attention by the aliens so they kill you before the non-parasited marines, so that those that survive an encounter are not parasited.
And of course, taking point is always a good idea. I think that when people do take point, they shouldn't simply be the first in a chain - they should be several meters out ahead of everyone else. The idea is that the point man walks by, and no one is immediately behind him, so skulks and what not come out of their hiding places to attack him, while all the others can now shoot at the exposed aliens.
Usually when I get parasited I'm building up a forward base, and there's no reason to let ALL the aliens know we're working on one!
On my screen, you are just a ball of light, without any sign of where you are pointing your flashlight.
Not sure if that's just me, but that's what I see.
